White boucle is peaking, says Regal’s Design Director, Sarah Surace, “Designers are shifting to more interesting multi-color textures that combine different yarn types. I think bouclé is still a core yarn texture, we’re not going to see it go away totally, we’re just going to see it used more in combination with different kinds of yarn & especially infused with more color.”
As we shift from dryer-feeling bouclé, Sarah says there’s going to be more of a trend towards plush, luxurious textures like chenilles and velvets coming back in.
