Heimtextil 2024 Design Trends Recap

It’s always great to leave an important design show feeling reinforced in direction and energized to create. Heimtextil 2024 overflowed with exciting pattern and color inspiration. The 2024 Heimtextil Trends focused on “colors of sensitivity” and on moving beyond sustainability to regenerative futuristic textiles, inspiring us to think deeper about the impact of textiles on our earth.

A few highlights:

Interesting constructions: Fabrics rich with dimension, texture, and complexity of construction stood out. The design trends ranged from bold geometrics in nubby boucles and plush and opulent velvets to heirloom-inspired nostalgic motifs.
Eye-popping patterns: We saw the return of the “showstopper” pattern catching our eyes in larger scales and exciting vibrant colorations, created with exquisite technique.

Heimtextil 2024 Color Trends – Reinforcing Current Cores, Surprising Upstarts

Core color trends: Warm spice tones with blush, browns ranging from toasty vicuna to deep peppercorn, and greens of all shades remain core color trends.
Emerging color trends: Palettes of rosewood and wine colors that pair beautifully with all the blushes and warm browns, and surprising brights highlighted by more acidic yellows. Blues are heading dustier and greener and mint green accents softer multis.
