To increase flexibility for fabric buyers, this month Regal Fabrics debuted a new collection of seven sister patterns, Summer Damasks. “We release our main seasonal collections twice a year at Interwoven, but we realize not everyone times their purchases around the shows. We wanted a way to meet buyers when their needs arise, which we aim to do through this new summer release,” says Andy Kahan, Regal’s Director of Marketing.
Summer Damasks features trending elegantly formal patterns refreshed in cheery contemporary colors like coral and cornflower blue. Says Sarah Surace, Design Director at Regal, “We’re now seeing romantic, feminine, pretty styles being celebrated to counter all the textured masculine looks that have been so prevalent.”
But don’t turn your back on the immensely versatile, popular textures like bouclé – Sarah suggests mixing the two for an updated look that modernizes damask and elevates casual textures.
